THE IMPACT YOU CAN HAVE: The Sr. Vendor Master Data Analyst plays a key role in Ulta Beauty’s master data management initiatives, ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and governance of vendor master data (VMD) across multiple systems. This role supports strategic enterprise projects—including SAP S/4HANA and other SaaS solutions—by driving standardization, process transformation, and data governance efforts within Supplier Operations.

The position requires cross‑functional collaboration with internal partners including IT, Merchandising, Finance, and Global Process Owners, and will support solution design, testing, migration, and deployment activities related to S4 and master data initiatives. This position reports to the Supplier Operations Manager and does not have direct reports.

YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH THESE GOALS BY:

Manage vendor creations and maintenance activities for merch and non‑merch vendors in the Informatica MDM.

Manage and execute the Audit Board Narratives, Audit requests, Monthly Merch Audit report, and INFA Role Assignments.

Enforce Data Governance standards and Compliance, naming conventions, and data policies. Perform regular data quality audits and cleansing.

Provide training guidance and support to Analyst II or business users on vendor data processes.

Lead and manage Informatica Incidents and Enhancements with our internal IT partners and external business partners.

Serve as administrator and subject matter expert for Ulta’s VMD system, ensuring proper governance policies are documented and implemented.

Manage and oversee Training Materials, Documentation and Job Guides related to vendor master data activities.

Create and maintain ad hoc reporting and applications for internal stakeholders across departments.

Represent VMD in cross‑functional initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.

Document and maintain VMD best practices, including requirements defined in the Ulta Beauty Supply Chain Guide.

Partner with MDM and IT teams to support system enhancements, error resolution, and data migration activities.

Identify and resolve data quality issues, working cross‑functionally to improve data standards and controls.

Participate in external conferences, vendor sessions, and off‑site engagements as needed.

Assist with onboarding and mentoring new team members or cross‑functional partners as applicable.

Actively engage in change management efforts and help drive adoption of new tools or systems impacting VMD.

THE ESSENTIALS FOR SUCCESS: Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics, engineering, or related field.

Minimum of five years’ experience in vendor master data management or three years in a related data governance role (retail experience preferred).

Experience with SAP ECC and S/4HANA, including retail master data and MDM tools.

Familiarity with industry standards, data policies, and regulations.

Demonstrated success working on cross‑functional teams and large‑scale ERP projects.

Skills & Attributes

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and project collaboration tools.

Working Conditions

Participation in meetings, training sessions, and presentations via Teams.

Occasional travel (~5%) for off‑site engagements, conferences, or team collaboration.

The pay range for this position is $77,600.00 - $102,700.00 / Year with the opportunity for eligible associates to earn additional compensation pursuant to the Company’s bonus plan. Exact pay will be based on factors including, but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, level, shift, geographic location, and business and organizational needs.
