This

Sr. Digital Project Engineering Role

will be a part of the MW NA Regional Engineering Controls, Automation, & Digital Team. The individual in this role will be responsible for designing and managing implementation scope, schedule, resources, dependencies, issues, risk, and stakeholders' communication for digital and data projects.

The scope of the role includes leading projects in the areas of Digital Plant Technology systems, which includes electrical, controls, digital, CVS, and value tracking. The role owns the overall leadership of digital projects via the MWC Engineering Execution Standard. The role will be specifically responsible for the roll-out of Digital and Data Initiatives for the North American Region.

This role will be based out of, and/or require travel to most of our major sites across North America (Hackettstown, NJ; Gainesville, GA; Yorkville, IL; Waco, TX; Cleveland, TN; or Topeka, KS)

What Are We Looking For? Minimum:

Bachelor's degree in engineering, Computer Science or Digital Technology related fields

3+ years’ experience in a comparable technical position - food, beverage, pharmaceutical or related industry

2+ years' experience with Digital Technologies

Track record of using data and metrics to design strategies, identify and implement Improvements

Understanding of process and packaging applications

Understanding of digital technologies

Good communication, listening and influencing skills

Critical thinking skills

Innovative thinking

Able to work collaboratively with other groups

Approximately 50% travel requirement depending on project demands

Preferred:

An advanced degree is a plus

What Will Your Key Responsibilities be?

Implement Digital and Data projects across Mars Wrigley North American Region

Provide innovative engineering solutions to MWNA sites that drive accelerated improvement in TRS, PCC Costs, Safety, Quality, and Customer Service Levels

Utilize resources across local (Site), region, and global to accelerate the North American Digital and Data Roadmaps.

Support the Smart Factory Program

Design End-To-End Architecture

Create Site Engagement

Perform Site Assessments

Perform Physical OT Integration (Installation)

Perform OT-IT Integration & Activate Use Case

Perform control systems project engineering, when required to support digital and data initiatives

Change Management (Training & Reinforcement)

Support of Deployed Application to further realize value

Advance Digital Maturity across the North American region by: Developing industry and product specific relevant technical skills Motivate fellow associates by introducing high quality solutions that protect the integrity of our product

Developing a User-Centric digital culture. (Ensuring digital projects & tools are fit for purpose and work for the end user)

Understanding of Digital Twin, Digital, and Data Technologies and how they can be used to improve manufacturing and business performance

Owns the vision and long-term strategy of a range of digital products in the space of Digital and Data ensuring it meets the global manufacturing digitalization strategy

Ensure delivery of assigned objectives for scope, time, budget, cash flow, and value creation

Maintain the project adherence to scope, deliverables, and critical success factors

Communicate with the digital project steering team to ensure project objectives are achieved

Seek and apply appropriate technology to gain and sustain technical competitive advantage

Seek and support lean ways of working and apply lean principles in the engineering process and as a project deliverable

Understand and make decisions to improve business measurements such as Economic Profit (EP), etc.

Understand the impact and value creation of digital technologies in the manufacturing site

Responsible for delivering the business outcomes and determine ways to discover and validate real customer and business value, based on success criteria

Is the connector between the business teams, the DT Teams, regional engineering teams, global engineering teams, MES teams, and site teams

Continuously improve technical knowledge

Depending on project parameters, personally design systems and select hardware, or direct third-party engineering firms providing design services to meet their contract deliverables

Continuously improve personal efficiency and performance to provide value added engineering

Partner with the Value Stream leadership to supervise all commissioning, validation, and start-up activities for digital projects. Additionally, work according to Global CVS best practices, change management processes, and manage the handover process for the project

Provide advanced problem-solving analysis and resolution, data tracking to identify continuous improvement opportunities, and coordinate training

Support safety and security policies

Contribute innovative ideas to provide competitive advantage

Identify, protect and expand intellectual property of corporation

Ensure the successful deployment of the new capability

Partner with Mars DT to ensure successful Digital Twin systems upgrades

Organize and coordinate the E2E testing, the knowledge transfer, the communication to achieve a successful end user adoption of the change

Govern & maintain process documentation of their products

Train operators on the business process changes driven by Digital Twin productsSupport Core training material and job aids development

Support project objectives and challenge activities not aligned with those objectives

Directly manage all assigned project work

Effectively monitor and improve a safe work environment

Ensure delivery of quality work

Actively plan and participate in project activities

Effectively and efficiently communicate, facilitate, coordinate, and prioritize all activities for digital projects

The base pay range for this position at commencement of employment is between USD 108,160.00 - USD 148,720.00. The total compensation package for this position will include variable pay, medical and dental benefits, participation in 401(k) plan, and paid time off benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an applicant receives an offer of employment.
