Position Summary We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented

Senior Data Analyst

to join our team. The successful candidate will be the key liaison between our managing directors and the data reporting infrastructure. This role requires a blend of strong analytical skills, technical proficiency in

BI

tools and

SQL , and excellent interpersonal skills to translate business needs into actionable data reports and interactive dashboards.

Primary Responsibilities

Requirements Gathering:

Proactively collaborate with

managing directors

and stakeholders across various departments to understand, document, and prioritize their reporting and dashboard needs.

Translate complex business questions into clear, technical requirements for data extraction and visualization.

Report and Dashboard Development (BI):

Design, develop, and maintain high-quality, interactive dashboards and reports using the

Dundas BI

platform for Novatae and coordinate efforts with World where appropriate.

Ensure data visualizations are accurate, intuitive, and effective in communicating key business insights and performance indicators.

Data Analysis and Querying (SQL):

Write, optimize, and execute complex

SQL queries

to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various relational databases for reporting purposes.

Perform ad-hoc data analysis to investigate business performance, troubleshoot data issues, and validate data integrity.

Assist in identifying opportunities for data quality improvement.

Maintenance and Support:

Provide ongoing support and maintenance for existing reports and dashboards, ensuring their reliability and performance.

Develop and maintain technical documentation pertaining to data sources, report logic, and dashboard specifications.

Conduct user training sessions and create guides to promote self-service data consumption across the organization.

Position Specific Skills/Qualifications

Experience:

5+ years of experience working as a Data Analyst, BI Developer, or in a similar role.

Technical Skills:

Proven expertise in designing and building reports and interactive dashboards is essential.

Exceptional proficiency in writing and optimizing complex

SQL queries

for data retrieval and manipulation.

Experience with other BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is a plus.

Essential Skills/Competency:

Strong organizational and multitasking skills with keen attention to detail.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.

Ability to build relationships with internal stakeholders and external vendors.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other office systems (e.g., Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word).

Strong judgment and problem-solving abilities in a fast-paced environment.

Capable of managing sensitive and confidential information with discretion.

Education: A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or a related quantitative field.

Physical Demands & Working Conditions Physical Demands Office work . Office work involves working at a desk most of the time, using a stand-up/sit-down adjustable desk. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. Typing, grasping, and repetitive motion typically is required every day, and walking and standing are required occasionally.
