Founding Engineer – Stealth AI Health Startup

A well-backed, early-stage AI startup is building transformative voice technology to automate some of the most frustrating workflows in modern healthcare. They're a small, tight knit founding team looking for an ambitious engineer to help them scale from prototype to production.

This is an opportunity to take real ownership of greenfield systems and shape the technical direction of a product that has immediate impact on real users.

What You'll Do

Own and scale core backend infrastructure (Python, FastAPI, PostgreSQL, etc.)
Build reliable, secure systems to support speech processing and ML-inference pipelines
Collaborate closely with the founder, ML lead, and design to ship features fast
Contribute across the stack and help establish best practices, tooling, and architecture from the ground up
Engage in rapid experimentation and iteration with a bias toward productionizing

What We're Looking For

4–10 years of experience in software engineering, ideally including fast-paced startups
Strong backend experience (FastAPI, Django, Flask, etc.)
Solid grasp of cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, GCP, Docker, CI/CD)
Experience integrating AI/ML models (open-source or commercial) into production systems
Bias toward action, curiosity, and a strong product intuition

Nice to have:

Experience working with audio/speech data (TTS/STT, diarization, etc.)
Familiarity with healthcare tools (e.g., EHRs, scribe systems, HIPAA compliance)
Frontend experience (React, TypeScript)
Prior experience in a founding team or early-stage startup
