Role Description This is a full‑time, on‑site position for a Processing Engineer located in Vicksburg, MI. The Processing Engineer will be responsible for improving and optimizing manufacturing processes within the injection molding environment. Key tasks include troubleshooting production issues, analyzing and solving processing challenges, researching and developing new methodologies, and ensuring adherence to industry standards and certifications. The role also involves collaboration with cross‑functional teams to drive operational efficiency and meet customer specifications.
Qualifications
Strong background in Process Engineering, with experience in injection molding processes.
Proficient in Analytical Skills and Signal Processing for problem-solving and data interpretation.
Experience with Research and Development (R&D) and a focus on continuous improvement methodologies.
Knowledge in Chemical Engineering, particularly involving materials such as high‑heat nylons, santoprenes, and polypropylenes.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective teamwork and client interactions.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Plastic Manufacturing Engineering preferred.
Previous experience in plastic manufacturing or injection molding environment is a plus.
Familiarity with FSSC and IATF certification standards is desirable.
