Production Supervisor, Recip Unit Lines

Basic Function
Plan, implement, and improve daily workflow for the assigned production assembly area at the Quincy Compressor Product Company.
Job Responsibility
Provide supervision and leadership to the assigned production team.
Develop and utilize Team Lead role for efficiency gains.
Create a team-oriented environment which cultivates a safe work environment, effective cross‑training, right‑from‑me quality culture, and lean manufacturing initiatives (including 5S) with focus on three areas.
Production Flow:
Provide direction and goals for Production Team leads and assemblers. Establish effective collaboration for the Value Stream team, which includes line feeders, scheduler, planner(s), inventory control, and quality/testing. Oversee productivity/efficiency of the assigned production assembly lines. Work towards continuous improvement of line productivity, efficiency, resource management, cost and quality control. Track ongoing efforts through the development and routine update of relevant scorecards and performance charts.
Supervision:
Provide direct supervision for Production Team leads, assemblers, and testers – including overseeing work scheduling, manpower planning, performance management, recruitment, and hiring. Provide strong leadership for the assigned production assembly lines, facilitating the training, cross‑training, and development of assigned team members, with focus on developing the strongest, most efficient production organization possible.
Quality & Delivery Assurance:
In close collaboration with the Quality Assurance Engineer and Technician(s) develop, implement and improve quality control processes. Work with other managers/supervisors to resolve production related and/or technical support issues.
Accountability This position reports directly to the VP, Manufacturing.
Education and Experience
Bachelor's in manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering
Applicable, proven experience in leadership and manufacturing required
Six Sigma Black Belt or Lean Black Belt certification a plus

Proficient in Microsoft Office products, such as Word, Excel, etc.
Experience with BPCS a plus
Supervisory Responsibility
Oversees the production team and value stream performance of the Recip Unit Assembly Lines
Physical Demands
Required to be constantly moving about the facility (standing, walking)
Lifting of items (not to exceed 50 lbs.)
Personal Protective Equipment
While on shop floor, must always wear safety glasses and steel‑toed shoes.
No loose clothing, watches, jewelry, rings, etc. that could get caught in machines.
Work Environment
Mainly a plant environment, with some office exposure.
Exposed to any number of elements (heat, cold, rain, etc.) indoors and out.
Other Duties MAY BE REQUIRED TO PERFORM OTHER DUTIES AS REQUESTED, DIRECTED, OR ASSIGNED.
