Automotive Technician – 2nd Shift ($2,500 Sign‑On Bonus)
CarMax is hiring Automotive Technicians for 2nd‑shift roles in Frederick, MD. The base pay ranges from $28.00/hour to $47.00/hour, with an additional $2,500 sign‑on bonus for external candidates who are hired. All applicants are evaluated based on skills and experience.

Responsibilities
Inspect, recondition, and repair vehicles to meet CarMax’s high safety and quality standards.
Work as part of a team to solve technical problems quickly and effectively.
Build experience as an automotive mechanic across a wide range of domestic and foreign vehicles.
Follow and promote high standards of safety, cleanliness, and organization.
Qualifications
Experience in engine repair, steering and suspension, brakes, or heating & air conditioning.
Knowledge of health and safety compliance.
Manual dexterity and physical stamina (lift heavy objects, stand and walk for extended periods).
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
Good communication skills and attention to detail.
Valid driver’s license.
Required ASE certifications per state/local law (e.g., A1, A4, A5, A7 in California).
