This on-site contract position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to patient care through diagnostic imaging and collaborate with a dedicated team of healthcare professionals.
As a Locum MD in Radiology, you will be instrumental in providing high-quality radiological services, interpreting imaging studies, and ensuring accurate diagnoses. Your expertise will be vital in enhancing patient outcomes and supporting the overall mission of our medical practice.
Responsibilities
Conduct and interpret various imaging studies, including X-rays, CT scans, and MRIs
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care
Provide accurate and timely reports on imaging findingsli>
Ensure compliance with medical protocols and safety standards
Participate in departmental meetings and case discussions
Stay updated on advancements in radiology techniques and technologies
Mentor and guide junior staff in radiological practices
Assist in the development of radiology protocols and guidelines
Requirements
MD degree with a specialization in Radiology
Associate-level experience in a clinical radiology setting
Valid medical license to practice in the state of Indiana
Strong knowledge of imaging modalities and radiological procedures
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Familiarity with electronic medical record systems
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8a-5p
Evening and weekend call shifts available
Case Volume: 50 RVUs per shift
Cases: Moderate IR (lung/solid organ biopsy, chest tube, FNA, image-guided core biopsy), and light IR (thoracentisis, paracentisis, LP, myelogram, arthrogram, etc.)
Technology: RPCE Tech Stack and PowerScribe 4.0
Board certification required
