Overview Abrazo Central Campus is seeking a
Speech-Language Pathologist
to join our inpatient rehab team on a per diem basis. This is a flexible opportunity for an experienced clinician to contribute to a high-performing team in an acute care setting while maintaining a balanced schedule.
Key Responsibilities
Evaluate and treat patients with speech, language, voice, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders
Conduct and interpret Modified Barium Swallow (MBS) studies in collaboration with medical and radiology staff
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and clinical goals
Document all clinical activities accurately and in a timely manner
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes
Educate patients, families, and caregivers on treatment plans and strategies
Qualifications
Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
Current Arizona Speech-Language Pathology license
Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA or current enrollment in a Clinical Fellowship (CFY)
BLS/CPR certification
Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in speech-language pathology (acute care required)
Experience with modified swallow assessments; MBS experience strongly preferred
Skills & Competencies
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment
Excellent clinical judgment and documentation abilities
