Manufacturing Engineer

to join a leading Company located in

Ashland City, TN

surrounding area. As the Manufacturing Engineer, you will perform advanced engineering tasks under limited supervision and help to mentor the engineering design team in development projects throughout the entire cycle from initial concept through completion. Job Responsibilities

Participate in industry groups. Perform advanced engineering tasks under limited supervision. Oversee all aspects of a significant engineering project, from start to finish, so that it is completed on time and within budget. Develop an action plan and estimate requirements for resources-management, labor, materials, and time required to complete the project. Prepare monthly reports, detailing progress and costs for top management. Use CAE tools such as Solidworks, MATLAB, LabView, Minitab, EES, CFD, FEA. Develop and apply engineering standards and procedures, and provide advice on issues within the engineering field. Analyze and identify causes of component failures. Provide technical solutions to help solve manufacturing issues or address customer field issues; have familiarity with multiple operations. Use team management skills to lead the design group during the conceptual phase of product development. Conduct project meetings and prepare reports to communicate the status of the project within and beyond the project team. Finish assigned engineering projects in accordance with customer specifications and within schedule and budget limitations, coordinating activities of engineering team, contractors, and vendors. Lead brainstorming activities for specific needs. Perform other duties as assigned. Basic Hiring Criteria

Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field. Minimum 5 years of related work experience or training. 6 sigma or FMEA experience a plus. Excellent analytical and organizational skills; solves complex problems. Experience leading Kaizen-related or Continuous Improvement Activity. Ability to analyze and resolve issues quickly through root cause analysis. Strong communication via written and oral. Knowledge of SAP and MRP systems is beneficial. Knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques. Proficient in Microsoft Office, Access, Excel, PowerPoint and AutoCAD. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Job Requirements
