About This Role

SIMCOM is currently seeking a qualified candidate as an Instructor Pilot. This position will abide by SIMCOM standards and policies. The instructor pilot will deliver ground school and simulator training during Initial, Recurrent or specialty training courses to our customers. The ideal candidate will focus on customer progress and performance with a tailored approach to specific training that includes lesson planning, classroom and simulator set‑up, and upkeep of current publications and training materials. Travel might be required on an occasional basis. Duties and Responsibilities

1.

As an Instructor Pilot, provide standardized training in the classroom and/or simulator (unless specifically requires the aircraft) for the following events:

Captain Upgrades Initial/Recurrent training PIC/SIC Evaluations Differences Training Remedial Training

Enforce company standards by teaching and requiring others to fly by set standards of service and safety. 3.

Strong interpersonal, verbal/written, listening, and presentation skills are necessary to effectively teach required subjects and provide constructive feedback. 4.

Must possess the skills to properly judge and evaluate pilot performance and be willing to accurately and impartially judge and evaluate. 5.

Conduct ground and simulator training for customers at SIMCOM. 6.

Keep accurate records, complete proper paperwork and submit required documents to the company in a timely manner. 7.

Evaluate customers’ progress in gaining skills and knowledge by the standards established at SIMCOM. 8.

Serve as a liaison between customers and the Training Center Managers. 9.

If authorized as TCE for SIMCOM, conduct Proficiency Checks and Certification Checks as authorized under FAR 135/142. 10.

Assist/define customers training requirements through participation in training conferences, meetings. 11.

Maintain competency and qualifications authorized to instruct. 12.

Maintain a high level of professionalism at all times. 13.

Perform other related duties and assignments as required. Education & Experience

Meet Part 135 requirements. ATP preferred. Successful candidate will hold an above average knowledge of applicable regulations, flight operations manuals, operations specifications, crewmember standard operating procedures, aircraft systems, aircraft performance, and company policies and procedures. Skills & Abilities

Excellent fluency in English, both verbal and written. Excellent listener and presenter to meet and exceed customer expectations during training. General knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook; database MS Access preferred. Ability to work in a team environment and support cultural diversity. Customer service oriented. Physical environment/working conditions: Dual environment setting—office and simulator. May have some light lifting required up to 30 lbs.
