We’re looking for an experienced and collaborative Electrical Construction Manager to lead daily scheduling and planning activities at the project site, ensuring the right materials, equipment and people are there to get the job done. Most importantly, you’ll take action to ensure the safety, health, and well‑being of your team and our planet. As a passionate leader, you’ll leverage your people‑management skills to help your team members discover what drives them, nurturing their purpose and guiding them forward.
Responsibilities
Conduct project meetings with contractor and stakeholders.
Maintain official project documentation files and logs.
Perform onsite activities that will include onsite inspections and walk‑downs, and may also include construction or field administration tasks.
Review submittals, shop drawings, material certifications, and other project deliverables, supporting the end‑of‑project turnover process.
Ensure all construction is in compliance with design specifications and drawings.
Support the project management team in change management and monthly invoicing process.
Track work in place and construction progression.
Coordinate and manage daily tasks to support the progression of project schedule activities and accurate reporting.
Work to build a cooperative partnership between the client, contractor, and all stakeholders to ensure timely resolution of project issues and the overall success of the project.
Qualifications – What you’ll need
At least 8 years of construction site experience.
Demonstrated working knowledge of pre‑design and pre‑construction, building systems/components and technology, contract management, project delivery methods, team building, and client relationship building.
Knowledge of general construction activity sequencing and execution.
Strong understanding of Electrical systems and associated equipment.
Experience with 3D modeling software and being physically present on active construction projects.
Experience managing a project schedule.
Knowledge of quality control and quality assurance testing/reporting.
Experience with both pre‑dynamic and dynamic walk‑down and start‑up processes.
Knowledge of the commissioning and qualification process as it specifically relates to MEP systems.
Preferred – Ideally you’ll also have
Certified Construction Manager (CCM) certification or Professional Engineer (PE) licensure.
Data center construction experience.
Knowledge and experience in Automatic Temperature Control (ATC), Building Automation Systems (BAS) and Process Controls systems such as DeltaV or other.
Knowledge and experience with starting up equipment and systems and day‑to‑day management of systems until project turnover.
Knowledge and experience with implementation of LEAN strategies and technologies in project execution, including Last Planner System (LPS), 5S Construction, and off‑site manufacturing (OSM) construction.
