Job Title This is a Level 1 Field Service Technician role responsible for performing preventive maintenance services and mobile lube services for customers. The position is remote‑based in Reno, NV with occasional travel to California.
Work Type 40‑60 hours a week

Mission Field Service Technicians provide thorough service support for technical problems, monitoring, testing, and demonstrations that minimize downtime, reduce costs, and promote product capabilities. As a Level 1 technician you will carry out PM services and mobile lube services, working remotely in Reno, NV with occasional work in California. The work must be executed with a sense of urgency while maintaining Epiroc’s high quality standards.
The work environment includes exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, and outdoor weather conditions, as well as occasional exposure to high, precarious places, toxic or caustic chemicals and the risk of electrical shock. Employees will be required to sit for extended periods if needed, use hands to feel and reach, and communicate effectively. Company–provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the job. This position is Safety Sensitive.
Responsibilities
Regularly review and update personal tool inventory on a quarterly basis to maintain compliance with the company's calibration and tool replacement protocols, and always maintain an accurate personal tool inventory.
Complete daily work assignments as requested from the customer or supervisor.
Use basic analytical skills to thoroughly troubleshoot, identify problems, and complete repairs of mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems either by phone or on site.
Understand the company's warranty policy and take initiative on processing warranty claim reports in the field.
Adhere to company safety and environmental requirements, promoting proper safety procedures and correct use of PPE and practicing sustainability.
Maintain a courteous and professional demeanor and communication with customers and internal staff.
Requirements
Basic computer skills, familiarity with Epiroc equipment, previous work experience demonstrating strong mechanical aptitude, good work ethic, and ability to read basic hydraulic and 24‑volt schematics.
Own hand tools and ability to expand personal tool inventory by purchasing additional tools referencing the required tool list provided by Epiroc.
Maintain required US Department of Labor, Mine, Safety & Health Administration Training Certificates, or agree to complete the training program(s) needed to acquire the certificates by the required date.
Maintain a valid driver's license; a good driving record is required. If required to operate a commercial vehicle weighing more than 26,001 pounds, you must be able to pass all requirements necessary to obtain a Commercial Driver's Licence (CDL) for Department of Transportation (DOT) purposes and maintain an active license. Employees must be at least 18 years of age to drive commercial motor vehicles (CMVs) within state lines (intrastate) only; drivers must be at least 21 years old to drive commercial vehicles across state lines (interstate).
Travel is required.
