As a
Financial Counselor
at Mind 24-7, you will play a critical role in ensuring patients and families are fully supported throughout their care journey. You’ll manage patient accounts, verify insurance coverage, obtain prior authorizations, and help patients understand and navigate their financial responsibilities—all while delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining detailed documentation.

Your Role & Impact
Collect co‑pays, deductibles, co‑insurance, and self‑pay balances at the time of service
Conduct insurance verifications for new and existing patients, ensuring coverage accuracy
Facilitate prior authorizations and manage authorized billable units for services
Assist patients and families with Medicaid and other insurance program applications
Register patients and maintain up‑to‑date and accurate demographic and insurance data
Perform quality control checks on patient accounts to ensure proper documentation
Collaborate with billing, clinical, and administrative teams to support timely claims submission
Respond to patient and insurance inquiries by phone and in person
Track and report on account status, follow‑ups, and resolutions
Utilize EHR and billing software to ensure data integrity and real‑time updates
What We’re Looking For
Previous experience in healthcare finance, patient accounts, or medical billing preferred
Proficiency with EHR systems, billing platforms, and Microsoft Office Suite
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with patients and staff
Customer service mindset with the ability to handle sensitive conversations
Knowledge of Medicaid and commercial insurance processes a plus
