Description America's Car-Mart is seeking a dynamic and self-motivated Assistant Manager to join our organization. If you have prior extensive experience in supervisory roles, retail sales, and a passion for creating positive customer experiences, we want to hear from you. As an Assistant Manager, you will have the opportunity to learn all aspects of running a dealership, interact with diverse customers, and contribute to our success. Our 90‑day training program will prepare you for success. It is also possible to progress into a General Manager role depending on prior experience and performance.
Qualifications
Self‑starter mentality and ambitious in nature
Excellent communication skills
Prior, extensive supervisory experience
Ability to solve problems and implement innovative solutions in a variety of situations
Computer proficiency and strong mathematical skills
Ability to prioritize and effectively multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment
Previous experience mediating conflict in the workplace
Available to work flexible hours and weekends, including overtime as needed
Acceptable driving record and valid driver’s license
Basic knowledge of and interest in automobiles is a plus
Compensation Base salary of $40,000 to $55,000 plus monthly bonus opportunities based on dealership sales and collections goals.
Manager In Training Responsibilities
Receive training and perform duties in several departments such as office, service, collections, sales, and inventory management
Learn lot‑level staff functions, operations, management viewpoints, and company policies and practices that affect each phase of business
Set and monitor performance goals with upper management; attend company‑sponsored training classes
Work next to associates to acquire knowledge of methods, procedures, and standards required for the performance of departmental duties
Receive training in functions and operations of related departments to facilitate subsequent transferability and greater promotional opportunities
Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies and applicable laws
