Carson-Newman University Men’s Soccer is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Graduate Assistant to join our coaching staff for the upcoming academic year. This position is ideal for someone with experience as a goalkeeper—either as a player or coach—who is passionate about mentoring student-athletes and contributing to a competitive NCAA Division II program.
Responsibilities
Assist the head coach with all aspects of the men’s soccer program
Focus on goalkeeper development through planning and executing training sessions
Support team practices, game-day preparation, and individual player development
Aid in recruiting efforts and administrative tasks
Assist with travel coordination, equipment management, and compliance
Contribute to the management and promotion of the program’s social media platforms
Maintain a strong commitment to academic support and student-athlete welfare
Uphold the values and mission of Carson-Newman University and its athletic department
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required; acceptance into a Carson-Newman graduate program
Collegiate playing or coaching experience, specifically with goalkeepers, preferred
Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills
Familiarity with social media marketing and content creation
Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends
CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
Must submit a personal statement of faith that aligns with the mission of Carson-Newman University
