The Accountant is responsible for supporting day-to-day accounting operations and ensuring accurate financial records in accordance with GAAP and company policies. This role plays a key part in the month-end and year-end close processes and partners with internal stakeholders to maintain strong financial controls and reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and maintain accurate account reconciliations, including cash, balance sheet, and intercompany accounts, ensuring timely resolution of discrepancies.
Support fixed asset accounting, including capitalization, depreciation, disposals, and reconciliation of subledger activity to the general ledger.
Prepare and post routine journal entries related to accruals, prepaids, allocations, and other period-end adjustments.
Assist with cash management activities, including cash reconciliations and support of cash flow reporting.
Participate in the month-end and year-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules, responding to requests, and assisting with the resolution of audit findings.
Help maintain and improve internal controls, accounting processes, and documentation to ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies.
Assist with accounting system implementations, upgrades, and process enhancements.
Provide basic financial analysis, variance explanations, and reporting to support management decision-making.
Collaborate cross-functionally with finance and operational teams to support overall business objectives.
