Property Accountant
Base pay range:
$70,000 – $85,000 per year.
We are seeking a dynamic, self‑motivated, detail‑oriented Property Accountant to join our leading finance company. This hybrid role requires a seasoned accounting professional with knowledge of general ledger management, financial statements, and property accounting tools.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee all property accounting operations, including accounts payable and receivable, account reconciliation, and general ledger management.
Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Utilize Yardi software for property management accounting and reporting.
Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and improvement opportunities.
Ensure accuracy and integrity of all financial data and reports.
Collaborate with other finance team members to streamline accounting processes.
Comply with federal, state, and local legal requirements and advise management on needed actions.
Assist with annual audits and provide necessary information to external auditors.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in property accounting or a similar role.
Proficiency in financial reporting, account reconciliation, and general ledger management.
Strong financial analysis skills.
Extensive experience with accounts payable and receivable.
Proficiency in Yardi software.
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong problem‑solving abilities and the capacity to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion.
Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
