POSITION SUMMARY
The Accounts Payable Specialist is expected to process a high volume of invoices as well as interface with other departments, including purchasing and receiving.
The position also performs miscellaneous administrative duties. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Date stamps incoming paper invoices daily. Checks e‑mail daily for incoming electronic invoices, prints and date stamps invoices. Codes and enters invoices into AS400 system. Either manually or electronically conducts a three‑way match (invoice, purchase order, and receiving documents). Identifies and resolves any matching problem with the appropriate party. Is responsible for obtaining appropriate approval on non‑PO‑related invoices. Ensures timely and accurate payment of vendor invoices. Gathers and logs accruals where required. Performs document copying and filing. Interacts with vendors via email and telephone when required. Answers inquiries from vendors on invoice status. Interacts with purchasing and other departments. Complies with established standards and protocols of the accounts payable department and the overall organization’s goals and objectives. Ensures that established financial internal controls are adhered to in the performance of specific responsibilities. REASONABLE ACCOMMODATIONS STATEMENT

Accounts Payable Certification is highly desirable. SENIORITY LEVEL
