Support Services Business Unit is seeking a Human Resources Specialist. We are seeking a highly organized and detail‑oriented Human Resources Specialist to support DEA’s Organizational Planning and Learning & Development functions. This role focuses on data management, system coordination, and reporting across multiple HR programs to provide accurate, timely information that drives decision‑making and organizational performance. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and Excel skills, a passion for accuracy, and the ability to synthesize data from multiple sources to communicate clear insights. This individual will help manage learning and performance management processes, maintain data integrity across HR systems, and support strategic reporting for various audiences, including the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) and Board of Directors.

What You’ll Do Key Responsibilities Data & Reporting (Organizational Planning)

Pull, organize, and analyze HR and talent data to support enterprise reporting and workforce planning.

Prepare recurring and ad‑hoc reports for leadership, including metrics on headcount, turnover, performance, and learning participation.

Audit and reconcile data across systems to ensure accuracy and consistency.

Transform complex data into clear, concise summaries tailored for executive, departmental, and HR audiences.

Support the coordination and documentation of strategic planning efforts and related HR projects.

Performance Management Support

Support the annual performance management process, including goal and metric tracking, data entry, auditing, and reporting.

Maintain data integrity within the performance management system and assist employees and supervisors with updates or troubleshooting.

Monitor progress against performance goals and assist in preparing summary reports for leadership review.

Learning & Development Support

Support the administration of DEA’s Learning Management System (Litmos), including course creation, enrollments, and reporting.

Manage and track training completions and engagement metrics; identify and communicate trends to HR leadership.

Coordinate with trainers, subject matter experts, and communications teams to support enterprise‑wide training programs and rollouts.

Assist in developing communication materials for learning initiatives, including email announcements and intranet updates.

Cross‑Functional HR & Program Support

Collaborate with HR, IT, Finance, and departmental leaders to align data, reporting, and processes.

Support continuous improvement efforts for HR programs and systems related to learning, performance, and organizational planning.

Provide administrative and analytical support for HR initiatives, surveys, and strategic projects.

What You Bring Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Data Analytics, or related field.

6+ years of professional experience in Human Resources, Talent Management, or Learning & Development.

Strong proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, formulas, and data organization).

Exceptional attention to detail, data accuracy, and organizational skills.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to summarize data clearly for multiple audiences.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience using HR and learning systems such as Litmos, SAP SuccessFactors, or ADP.

Experience preparing reports and presentations for senior leadership or boards.

Understanding of adult learning principles and training coordination.

Familiarity with HR data reconciliation or cross‑system reporting.

Ability to work independently while fostering strong partnerships across departments.

Potential salary range:

$60,000 - $70,000

* The posted salary range represents the typical range for this position and is provided in accordance with applicable state and local pay transparency laws. Actual compensation will be commensurate with experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
