Maintenance Supervisor - Large Power Transformers
This role will be based at our new Siemens Energy Transformers Manufacturing Center Factory in Charlotte, North Carolina, USA. The facility is planned to be built by 2026 for production commencement. Consequently, the first part of the journey in this role will involve overseeing the construction of the factory, implementing new processes, and managing the development of a high‑performance team while coordinating all aspects of the factory setup to prepare for production.
A Snapshot of Your Day The Maintenance Supervisor plays a key role in all stages of Large Power Transformer manufacturing. This role is responsible for avoiding interruptions during manufacturing and reducing costs throughout the entire process.
How You’ll Make An Impact
Resolving complex issues by defining strategies, tactics, projects, and methods to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost while leading and implementing maintenance policies, guidelines, and procedures that align with local and external regulations.
Managing equipment maintenance and preventive plans, analyzing maintenance schedules and critical timelines in manufacturing, and planning resources and available stock of materials, parts, and components.
Defining, tracking, and sharing maintenance KPIs, and supporting the definition of OPEX and CAPEX.
Supporting short‑, mid‑, and long‑term maintenance plans for the assigned manufacturing site and contributing to design layout and infrastructure optimization.
Analyzing and improving technical problems on site, leading and coordinating cooperation with external suppliers and maintenance service providers.
Developing and delivering training programs to reduce failure impacts, create positive environmental impact, and oversee ramp‑up, set‑up, and start procedures to prepare machines and equipment for operations.
What You Bring
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronic, or Mechatronic Engineering preferred; high school diploma with equivalent experience required.
5+ years of experience in maintenance.
Knowledge of large power transformers strongly preferred.
Experience with project management, planning, and logistics, and proficiency with SAP and HANA systems.
Familiarity with Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
PLC development knowledge; Siemens PLC is preferred but not required.
