Overview
The Mechanical Engineer supports the design of custom RF microwave components and subsystems by advancing departmental knowledge of and use of global best practice design guidelines, working individually and with other members of the Engineering Design team to deliver the technical specifications required by our customers.
What You Will Do
Design and update the mechanical package for new and existing products (Solidworks).
Generate in‑house tooling and fixtures.
Investigate problems with mechanical attributes of designs to meet specifications and suggest and implement solutions.
Perform CAD analysis for the design through FEA simulations (Solidworks).
Generate drawings derived from SolidWorks for outside vendors and in‑house assembly.
Conduct static and dynamic analysis of stack tolerances.
Experience with printed circuit board design and fabrication is a plus.
Participate in continuous improvement activities.
Participate in high‑priority engineering recovery efforts during production.
Requirements
Able to work with AutoCAD, as needed.
Participate in the weekly Design Engineering project status meetings to help the team achieve the best design solutions for customer requirements.

Ability to organize workload and priorities to meet deadlines.
Proven ability to work both as a team member and as an individual.
High energy with a can‑do attitude.
Analytical skills.
Analyze & interpret engineering data.
Computer‑aided design tools, such as SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
Strong team contributor in a dynamic workflow environment with good time‑management skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Self‑starter – looks for areas of improvement and tackles them.
