Senior Systems Engineer Collins Aerospace, an RTX company, is a leader in technologically advanced and intelligent solutions for the global aerospace and defense industry. You will be a member of a multi‑disciplinary group of System, Hardware and Software Engineers supporting programs for our U.S. military and international customers.

What You Will Do

Collaborate with cross‑functional team members (hardware and software engineers) to ensure system compatibility and performance

Conduct product, subsystem, and/or system‑level testing, and troubleshooting to ensure reliability and functionality

Support the transition of products from prototype to production, including design reviews and documentation

Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute innovative ideas to enhance product performance and features

Maintain clear communication with team members and stakeholders to align project milestones and deliverables

Qualifications You Must Have

Strong knowledge of the full Systems Engineering V – from CONOPS development to Sustainment

Proven experience analyzing and developing interfaces and interface documentation

Experience with defining, decomposing, and deriving requirements

Desire to build upon testing knowledge and experience

Ability to execute in a leadership role within an Agile team

Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience

Active and transferable SECRET clearance is required prior to start date

U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Qualifications We Prefer

Experience with Nuclear Command & Control (NC3) programs

Experience with audio and video (hardware or software) product integration

Experience with integrating communication Radio and Systems: SATCOM, LOS/BLOS, AEHF, or V/UHF

Experience with computer networking including API development and systems security

Proficiency in tooling to include CAMEO, Rhapsody, Microsoft products, or tasking boards (Jira, IBM EWM, etc.)

Experience with and knowledge of scripting for analysis or build and test automation

Prior Mechanical Engineering and/or Hardware Integration experience

A current active Top Secret Clearance

Salary Range:

86,800 USD – 165,200 USD.
