Job Title: Sr. Field Technician Job Summary
As a Senior Field Technician, you will inspect, test, and maintain high, medium, and low voltage electrical power equipment. You will work with circuit breakers, transformers, grounding system components, and other electrical apparatus, implementing safety policies and ensuring optimal operation. Responsibilities
Lead safety briefings, identify and mitigate hazards. Perform high, medium, and low voltage testing as a crew leader. Apply Human Performance Error Elimination concepts and tools. Consult manuals, schematics, wiring diagrams, and engineering personnel to troubleshoot equipment problems. Prepare and maintain detailed test, repair, and maintenance reports. Troubleshoot, repair, replace, and clean equipment components. Serve as a safety culture leader and mentor to team members. Install, test, and maintain electrical apparatus. Analyze testing results based on underlying theory. Develop and write reports. Create testing plans. Manage large‑scale, complex projects. Train and qualify Field Technician I, II, and III. Interact with customers and perform complex troubleshooting. Qualifications – Required Skills/Abilities
Pass pre‑employment drug screen. Complete satisfactory criminal background check. Willingness to work overtime and travel as needed. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. Preferred Skills/Abilities
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience with test equipment: Power Factor, Ductor, Megger, CT ratio & saturation, Hi‑Pot. Knowledge of: Circuit breakers, Low/Medium/High voltage switchgear (LV/MV/HV), Transformers, Motors, PT’s & CCVT’s. Education and Experience
Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree in Electrical/Electronic Technology, or equivalent military experience. 10+ years of relevant industry experience. NETA III Certified, NETA IV Certified a plus. Physical Requirements
Ability to climb ladders, stand for extended periods, lift up to 70 lbs. EEO Statement
