Electrician 2nd Shift

Position Purpose Performs electrical troubleshooting, installing upgrades, diagnosis, repair and preventive maintenance on various types of CNC lathes, stamping presses, forging presses and heat treat equipment plant wide.
Hourly or Salary Range: $27.95 - $44.22 (Based on experience)
Essential Functions
Maintain Environmental, Health & Safety standards in the workplace
Perform emergency/unscheduled repairs on all industrial equipment with little to no supervision
Read and interpret equipment prints/ schematics/ manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance, repairs and service
Perform all scheduled preventive maintenance on all assigned equipment
Interpret and troubleshoot electrical systems when schematics are not available
Perform tasks that include, but not limited to, the usage of multimeters, megohmmeters, calipers, taps and dies and all associated hand tools of the trade
Skilled in project layouts
Conduit bending and threading (both power and hand bending)
PLC troubleshooting skills (Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi, etc.)
VFD troubleshooting and replacement
Utilization of your mechanical abilities to include a good understanding of hydraulic, pneumatics, power transmission systems clutches, brakes, gears, sprockets and bearings
Always work in a safe manner
Always keep work areas clean
Demonstrate adherence to all safety rules, regulations and procedures
Must understand the NFPA 70E code
Education And Training
High School Diploma or GED
NYS approved electrician apprenticeship or 2-year Degree in Industrial Electricity
Minimum Qualifications
Three (3) to Five (5) years' experience as an Industrial Electrician or any equivalent or combination of education / experience
Experience with 3-phase power up to 480 volts and basic electrical circuits
Robotic automation experience is a plus (Fanuc, Moto-man, ABB)
High standard of integrity and professionalism
Proficiency in basic computer skills
Experience in the safe and proper operation of specialized equipment including forklifts, boom lifts, scissor lift, etc. as needed
Must provide own hand tools
Physical Demands
Full use and dexterity of the hands on a regular basis
Must be able to read and write the English language
Good hearing and communication skills
Occasionally required to stand, walk and reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
Must frequently lift and or move up to 25 pounds
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and depth perception
Environmental Conditions
Exposure to a noisy work environment
Exposure to hot and humid conditions
Exposure to coolants, oils, grease and water
Ear and eye protection always in all production areas
Steel toe boots always required in all production areas
