Job Summary and Qualifications As an
Advanced Patient Care Technician (PCT) , you will be part of delivering compassionate, patient‑centered care. Under the guidance of a registered nurse, you will perform advanced clinical tasks and help create a safe and welcoming environment.
Observe patients, document changes, and communicate them with the nursing team.
Help patients with daily needs (ADLs) such as eating, drinking, bathing, and moving safely.
Provide advanced care, including phlebotomy, telemetry monitoring, removing IV lines and catheters, and care for wounds.
Assist with supporting tasks like collecting lab samples and clerical duties.
Anticipate patient needs, respond quickly, and ensure seamless care.
Attend PCT Essentials Orientation (M‑F 8a‑5p first 2 weeks of employment) beginning January 2026 (no hospital‑based experience).
Hours: Full‑time nighttime shifts (3 × 12‑hr shifts; 7p‑7a plus rotating weekends after orientation).
A minimum of a High School diploma or GED.
1+ years of experience in an acute care setting.
Kansas Certified Nursing Assistant License or completion of HCA Patient Care Tech Essentials training.
BCLS certification required upon hire.
Ability to attend PCT Essentials training as needed.
