Job Profile Mechanical Planner Working location: Concord, NH, USA
General Description Reporting to the Mechanical Manager, this role oversees mechanical inspection reporting, material management for all jobs, and scheduling of outsourced repairs.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS
Maintain and order all parts and supplies for individual jobs on an as needed basis
Communicate schedules and lead times for outsourced work to customer service and shop floor personnel
Coordinate and schedule outsourced work, ensuring technical and financial requirements are met
Maintain and order inventory for stock items in the mechanical shop
Collaborate with the Mechanical Services Manager to ensure inspection reports are accurate and complete
Responsible for all quoting of jobs to customers and sales engineers
Provide updates and reports to the Mechanical Manager regarding problems and issues
Complete outgoing mechanical inspection reports for plain/press roll and suction rolls
Perform other duties and projects as assigned by management
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Experience: 5-8 years in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the paper industry
Languages: English
Must have proven supervisory and leadership abilities
Must be an excellent communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
Familiarity with mechanical and machine repairs is desired
Requires knowledge of computers with skills in Excel and Word
Proficiency in Solidworks to create detailed drawings is a plus
