Job Overview
Multiple Full-Stack Software Engineers will be recruited under this requisition. These positions are developer-focused and require proficiency with Go, Javascript/Typescript, VueJS, Python, Postgres, MongoDB and AWS-hosted applications.
Senior Full Stack Engineer Responsibilities
Analyze & Design – Create business and requirement artifacts that effectively model the customer’s requirements, and use tooling to produce design models.
Implement & Perform – Implement designs following Pearson coding standards and industry best practices.
Review – Participate in requirements, design and code reviews.
Test & Deployment – Work closely with QA, configuration management, end‑users to release high‑quality software. Create testable requirements and write and execute unit tests.
Quality/Process Improvement – Participate in group improvement activities to enhance process and product quality.
Required Experience
Full‑stack engineering experience with Go, Javascript/Typescript, VueJS, Python, Postgres, MongoDB.
Experience with Cloud AWS‑hosted applications.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, or equivalent technology discipline.
Software development experience creating SaaS applications.
Experience with development, maintenance, and testing of software following industry best practices.
Experience with highly available, highly concurrent web‑based applications.
Experience with GIT or similar version‑control tools.
Experience working in an agile environment.
Desirable Experience
Experience working with AI tools and LLMs.
Desire to expand knowledge across multiple development languages, applications, and tools.
Rapid learning of new processes, tools, business domains and technical applications.
Strong technical and analytical thinking.
Understanding of architecture philosophy.
Ability to assimilate information, distil knowledge, apply experience and provide solution alternatives and recommendations.
Excellent time‑management skills – ability to work well under pressure, set priorities, adapt to change, and meet timelines.
Self‑starter and detail‑oriented.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Team‑player.
