Fire Systems Technician – Construction (Fire Alarm and Special Hazards Systems Technician)
Nationwide, Ahern, a 145‑year‑old family‑owned contractor, is looking for a skilled Fire Systems Technician to join our team in Appleton, WI. This role will support the start‑up, commissioning, and maintenance of fire alarm and special hazards fire suppression systems on our construction projects.
Responsibilities Under the direction of a Superintendent, you will:
Perform startup and commissioning of fire alarm systems and special hazards fire suppression systems.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations, design intent, budget constraints, and schedule requirements.
Engage customers daily, providing exceptional customer service and reinforcing Ahern’s reputation for quality.
Carry out tasks with a high level of detail and precision.
Qualifications
1‑3 years of experience or equivalent education and experience.
Willingness to travel occasionally.
Excellent customer service skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced work environment.
Commitment to maintaining up‑to‑date industry knowledge.
