Roles and Responsibilities
Design, develop, and implement building automation systems (BAS) software solutions
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to understand system requirements and design specifications
Program, configure, and integrate BAS controllers, devices, and systems from various manufacturers
Conduct system testing, troubleshooting, and debugging to ensure functionality and performance
Develop customized graphics and user interfaces for BAS dashboards
Provide technical support and training to clients and internal teams on BAS operations
Stay current with industry trends and advancements in building automation technology
Additional Responsibilities
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
Minimum Requirements
Basic understanding of programming and configuring BAS systems, including controllers (e.g., Schneider Electric, Honeywell, Siemens, Johnson Controls) and industry‑standard protocols (BACnet, Modbus, LonWorks)
Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, Python, or Java are a plus
Basic familiarity with HVAC systems, lighting controls, access controls, and other building systems integration
Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to analyze complex systems
Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
Physical Requirements
Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Repetitive motion. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading
Work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards
Required to stand, walk and sit; talk or hear, both in person and by telephone; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects or controls; reach with hands and arms
