PLM System Support Analyst I – Detroit, MI

Responsibilities
Implement and configure PLM Visualization processes in engineering design and development areas utilizing Teamcenter, NX and Visualization tools such as CAD/PLM Systems.
Support engineering user requirements, process and methodologies and best practices as well as provide necessary support and solutions to engineering community.
Utilize Teamcenter visualization, JT Visualization and BOMWriter development.
Schedule and monitor daily batch processing of vehicle data to generate PLMXML.
Provide Teamcenter visualization support including managing and resolving issues that pertain to visualization software, visualization of JT with Vis-Tools, PLMXML, JT based Data Exchange using Siemens tools and third party applications such as CADVerter and 3D-Evolution.
Installation of Teamcenter, visualization and CAD application on windows servers and participate in regular cadence activities, testing of new releases and deployment to production environment.
PLM support and process improvement of Teamcenter and VIS applications for different domains such as BICEEPR for visualization needs.
Create reporting processes for dispatcher to share reports with customer business partners to identify, map, and resolve issues to reduce engineering design errors and improve customer satisfaction level.
Perform analysis of critical issues and communicate engineering requirements to clients.
Prepare and participate in internal and external quality audits as well as adhere to organization quality process controls.
Configure proximity search and perform massive model visualization using custom tools.
Provide software solution and functional support for PLM / Visualization softwares used by engineering community.
Perform upgrades and system patches to Teamcenter application with latest software additions and complete validation testing.
Work closely with engineering and development teams to determine best practices for Teamcenter, NX and Visualization applications to enhance performance and productivity.
Install new releases to test Env and perform regression testing on new features and functionalities as required by engineering standards.
Document incident management and end user support on Teamcenter, NX and Visualization applications and coordinate with software vendors and support teams to identify and resolve issues with designated vendor’s support portal.
Prepare reports for all engineering phases like testing, deployment and post-deployment application support on production environment.
Support business readiness and change process activities prior to go-live deployment.
Obtain and evaluate information on factors such as performance and application complexity to determine hardware configuration.
Provide incident support to Teamcenter systems and product and design teams including system/sub-system/component design and validation.
Support virtual validation and analysis for advanced concept engineering team.
Develop functional and technical specifications for new virtual validation methods and requirements.
Provide functional support for new custom tools on Teamcenter tools.
Identify problems and review related information to develop and evaluate BOMWriter/visualization enhancements to implement solutions.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related field and 2 years of PLM Support Experience.
2 years of experience with Teamcenter, Vispro, VisMockup, and NX, Solid Edge, Creo Integration.
2 years of experience with C++, JAVA, Scripting language.
2 years of experience with Teamcenter administration, configuration, implementation, migrations, upgrades and knowledge in architecture, concepts, components.
2 years of experience in Active Workspace architecture, concepts, components, installation, configuration & upgrade.
2 years of experience in administration of modules like Workflow Designer, Query Builder, Organization, Structure Manager, and Classification.
2 years of experience with Catia, GitHub & application servers, Core Java, and Oracle and Data Migration activities.
2 years of experience with Installation, Configuration, Deployment of PLM applications (Teamcenter), Active Workspace, Teamcenter Visualization, Dispatcher, NX, CATIA and other similar PLM CAD software.
1 year of experience with Linux and Windows Operating System environment.
Telework:
May be authorized for full‑time or part‑time telecommuting with authorization from manager and HR.
Travel:
Up to 5% domestic travel for short and/or long‑term client assignments.
Base Salary Range:
$105,810 to $115,810/year. Regional salary adjustments for CA, CO, NY and WA states are base + 20% – 30%.
