Contract Duration: Long-term extensions through 2026, opportunity for perm
Shifts:
Monday - Thursday 7am-6pm
Tuesday-Friday 7am-6pm
Potential for overtime at 1.5x PR
Must Have Skills:
+1-5 years of experience working with mechanical / electrical in critical infrastructure environments such as data centers, oil and gas refineries, hospitals, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, or related fields
General understanding of electrical and mechanical as well as their components with the ability to verify all works operationally
Understanding of mechanical cooling systems (flushing a system, manifolds, installations & building of a system...)
Basic understanding of how to use Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word)
Must hold an OSHA or OSHA-approved NFPA 70E Certification or be willing to obtain within 2 weeks provided by IG
Experience:
Army TMDE preferred or Air force PMEL preferred
Familiar with field calibration
Familiar with lab calibration
Familiar with Calibrator in grades of working, and reference.
Familiar with analog signals
Familiar with voltage signals
Familiar with Excel
Familiar with Calibration Software (preferred Fluke MET/TEAM or MET/CAL)
Day-to-Day Summary:
The Instrumentation Engineer will be responsible for the calibration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of various sensors, relays, and controllers across industrial systems. A strong understanding of PLC systems is essential, along with the ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, flow diagrams, and P&ID loops. The role requires working knowledge of low-voltage electrical systems and proficiency with calibration equipment such as multimeters (not mandatory but preferred). Candidates must be capable of performing routine maintenance on equipment requiring precision calibration and supporting process control integrity. Experience with PLC controller programming and loop tuning is highly valued.
Responsibilities include:
Take daily operational readings of all electrical equipment through routine rounds/log taking (temperatures, voltages, currents, etc.)
Ability to follow operating procedures (SOPs) for critical environment planned work activities
Ensure all safety procedures are adhered to while performing work and comply with all physical security procedures and policies
Assist in the troubleshooting, repair and replacement of instrument sensors and calibration.
Support electrical infrastructures throughout datacenter campus ranging from a single, large-capacity facility to several smaller one
