Network Systems Administrator – Onsite Mt. New York City – 3rd Shift Compensation:

$120,000 – $165,000 / year

3rd Shift – Wednesday/Thursday/Friday/Saturday/Sunday 11 PM to 8 AM (Weekends & Holidays Onsite)

As a highly skilled and versatile Network Systems Administrator you will support enterprise‑class data centers and ensure seamless network operations, focusing on high availability, performance, and game‑day success.

Key Responsibilities

Server Administration:

Manage and maintain Windows, Linux, and Unix environments for optimal performance.

Cloud Operations:

Administer AWS, Azure, and O365 for enterprise workloads and containerization.

Virtualization:

Configure and troubleshoot VMware‑based environments to ensure scalability and availability.

System Monitoring:

Use SolarWinds, DataDog, and other platforms to ensure network reliability and performance.

Incident Management:

Lead network‑related incident resolution, meet SLAs, and handle escalations.

Security Best Practices:

Implement and support secure networking solutions across on‑premise and cloud environments.

Documentation:

Create and maintain detailed network documentation, topology maps, and troubleshooting procedures.

Required Skills

Strong experience in NOC operations with Windows, Linux, and Unix environments using ServiceNow.

Hands‑on experience with AWS, Azure, O365, VMware, and virtualization/containerization technologies.

Backup and DR support – experience with Rubrik, Zerto, and similar solutions.

Knowledge of firewalls, routing protocols, and tools like SolarWinds.

Familiarity with automation tools and scripting.

Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to adapt to dynamic priorities.

Preferred Skills

Network troubleshooting in data center environments (Cisco, Palo Alto, Meraki).

Proficiency in Python, PowerShell, Bash scripting for automation.

Experience with AWS, Azure, or O365 networking solutions.

Capacity planning and performance tuning expertise.

Knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, and container orchestration.

Familiarity with SIEM platforms, endpoint protection.

Experience with video streaming technologies and CDNs.

Qualifications

Provide game‑day support on major holidays.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent hands‑on experience.

Certifications:

CCNA, CCNP (or equivalent), ITIL, and technical certifications in servers or cloud preferred.

Experience:

Demonstrated expertise in a complex, multisite environment.
