Pediatric Healthcare of Long Island
*Overview:*
For 40 years, Pediatric Healthcare of Long Island has provided superior healthcare to the infants, children, adolescents, and young adults in the Five Towns and Bellmore communities. We are committed to providing an excellent patient experience based on quality, convenience, choice, and continuity. We are seeking a passionate, full-time or part-time Pediatrician to provide patient-centered healthcare to the families in our practice.
*Key Responsibilities:*
* Provide comprehensive outpatient medical care to pediatric patients, including well-child visits, acute care, and chronic disease management. * Work 3-5 shifts per week, with a consistent schedule to support work-life balance. * Participate in the weekend rotation, working one out of four weekends as part of the team's coverage plan. * Commute between two practice locations as scheduled, ensuring continuity of care and access for all patients. * Collaborate with medical assistants, and clerical staff to ensure efficient clinic operations and a positive patient experience. * Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) system. * Communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues, providing education and support as needed. * Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ongoing professional development.
*Qualifications:*
* Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution. * Board certified or board eligible in Pediatrics. * Active and unrestricted NYS medical license. * Current DEA registration. * Previous experience in a high-volume outpatient pediatric setting preferred, although new graduates are welcome. * Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills. * Ability to commute reliably to the two practice locations (11598 and 11710). * Commitment to providing compassionate, family-centered care.
*Schedule & Work Environment:*
* Preferable 3 long days per week (8-8, 8-8, and 8-6) but shorter shifts available.. * Required to work one out of every four weekends as part of the rotation (Sa 9-2, Su 9-2).
