We specialize in tax preparation, tax strategy, bookkeeping, payroll, and wealth‑building services with a modern, client‑focused approach.
As we enter the peak of tax season, we are seeking a Hybrid Seasonal Tax Professional to support our Jacksonville office through May 1 st, with the ability to meet clients in person when needed and assist with return preparation and administrative support.
Position Overview This is a seasonal, part‑time hybrid role based in Jacksonville, FL. The Tax Professional will support client‑facing tax preparation, filing, and administrative tasks during tax season. This role requires in-office availability on select days to meet with clients, along with remote work flexibility.
You will work closely with the CEO and internal team to ensure accurate, timely, and professional service delivery.
Key Responsibilities Tax Preparation & Filing
Prepare and assist with filing individual (1040) and small business returns (Schedule C, S‑Corps, partnerships as applicable)
Review client documents for completeness and accuracy
Ensure all returns comply with IRS and state tax regulations
Client Support & In‑Office Appointments
Meet clients in person at the Jacksonville office as needed
Answer client questions regarding tax documents, filings, and basic tax matters
Provide professional, clear communication throughout the tax process
Administrative & Workflow Support
Assist with client onboarding, document collection, and portal uploads
Track missing documents and follow up with clients
Support internal systems (TaxDome, tax software, internal checklists)
Compliance & Quality Control
Stay current on federal and state tax law updates relevant to returns prepared
Flag discrepancies, missing information, or potential issues for review
Support audit and notice response preparation if needed
Team Collaboration
Coordinate with preparers, admin staff, and leadership
Follow internal processes to maintain accuracy, deadlines, and professionalism
Qualifications Required
1–3 years of hands‑on tax preparation experience
Experience preparing individual returns (1040); business returns a plus
Familiarity with tax software and electronic filing systems
Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
Professional communication skills (written and verbal)
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
Preferred
Prior experience in a tax firm
Experience working during peak tax season (Jan–April)
Comfortable working in a hybrid environment
Schedule & Term
Seasonal:
Immediate start through May 1 st
Hybrid:
Combination of in‑office (Jacksonville) and remote work
Hours:
Weekday shifts: 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM or 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM
Saturdays: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM (as needed)
Compensation
$25 per hour
