Accounts Payable Specialist
Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail‑oriented Accounts Payable (AP) Specialist with prior accounts payable experience to join our central accounting team. The ideal candidate will have strong Excel skills, experience with reconciliations, and a proven ability to manage high‑volume, accurate AP processing in a fast‑paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Process vendor invoices accurately and timely in accordance with company policies
Perform invoice matching (PO, receipt, and invoice) and resolve discrepancies
Prepare and process weekly/monthly check runs and electronic payments
Reconcile vendor statements and resolve outstanding balances
Perform AP account reconciliations and assist with month‑end close
Maintain accurate AP records and documentation for audits
Communicate professionally with vendors and internal departments to resolve issues
Utilize Excel for data analysis, reconciliation, and reporting

Qualifications
Previous accounts payable experience (minimum 1–3 years preferred)
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, pivot tables, or similar functions
Experience with reconciliations, including vendor and general ledger reconciliations
Experience with accounting or ERP systems (preferred)
Experience in a high‑volume AP environment (preferred)
Other Requirements
Working hours: Monday‑Friday from 8‑5, with possible extended hours and on‑call or emergency coverage as required
Physical Requirements:
Mobility – Ability to move around the office or different company locations
Vision/Hearing – Adequate eyesight and visual acuity to work with computers and read technical documents; hearing to communicate and listen
Manual dexterity – Ability to operate computers, keyboards, and other technical equipment
Lifting – Ability to lift and move equipment such as computers 5‑10 lbs.
Driving – Ability to drive to Palmer Locations for onsite visits
