Join FreshPoint, Inc. as a Loader. You will perform all general warehouse functions including loading, unloading, manual depal, receiving, put‑away, pulls, replenishments and product selection in accordance with Preferred Work Methods (PWMs). This role requires working in freezer, cooler, and dry warehouse environments with extreme cold and/or high temperatures while meeting productivity standards and safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

Ensure pallets received meet defined requirements.

Enter/scan accurate information on the LPN, catch‑weight, manufacture date, expiration date, etc., into the warehouse management system using RF equipment.

Verify and record item information by checking piece count and weights against bills of lading, invoices, and other records.

Inspect product for shortages, damage, quality issues or deterioration of packing and report to supervisor.

Record all overages, shortages, and damages on the OS&D form.

Verify refrigerated and frozen product temperatures according to PWMs and follow temperature abuse procedures.

Communicate vendor compliance issues by completing the vendor compliance form during receipt.

Apply blind LPNs when manufacturer does not provide license plates.

Ensure proper operation of dock doors, plates, lights, and locks; report any needed repairs.

Complete the receiving certification process and testing.

Work with supervisor to minimize warehouse shrink or product loss.

Maintain neatness and cleanliness of assigned work areas and aisles; ensure accurate locations.

Report any unsafe issues immediately to supervisor.

Observe and enforce all safety rules and proper lifting techniques.

Operate material handling equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks) safely and keep equipment clean and inspected daily.

Use warehouse computers and RF equipment safely and professionally.

Comply with all Company policies, state/federal laws, OSHA, HACCP, and food safety requirements.

Perform other warehouse duties as assigned.

Qualifications

At least 18 years of age.

Pass a functional capacity test.

Work effectively in a team environment.

Communicate effectively with supervision, management, and co‑workers.

Observe and verbally or in written form communicate observations regarding equipment operation and maintenance.

Acceptance of reasonable accommodations for disabilities.

Education and Experience

High school diploma or GED preferred.

Six months of previous warehouse experience or training preferred.

Preferred experience with material handling equipment, reach truck, Crown, or Raymond reach truck.

Language Skills

Read and comprehend simple instructions, correspondence, and memos.

Write simple correspondence.

Speak effectively one‑on‑one and in small group settings.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.

Reasoning Ability

Apply common sense to carry out written, oral, or diagram instructions; solve problems involving concrete variables.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Certification on material handling equipment or willingness to become certified.

Physical Requirements

Use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects; frequently stand, walk, reach; stoop, kneel, crouch, or sit.

Frequently lift or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds.

Require visual acuity for close and distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.

Work Environment

Warehouse/operations environment with fast‑moving material handling equipment.

Exposure to extreme cold or heat (freezer/cooler) and low temperatures, wet/humid conditions, chemicals, low voltage equipment, and vibration.

Loud noise level.

Work Hours

Full‑time position; varying schedule may include shift work (days or nights), weekdays or weekends, and holidays.
