Description This role demands knowledge, skills, and commitment for a dynamic environment requiring prompt, accurate results under pressure. The candidate will manage multiple tasks with interruptions, work long hours, and maintain a high pace. On-the-job training in specific equipment is provided; the candidate must also self‑learn as needed.
Responsibilities
Develop and modify detailed designs of industrial control systems.
Design control panels, including layout, schematics, and component specifications.
Size control panels and layout component placement.
Design AC and DC power distribution, protection, and grounding.
Create networking drawings and system architecture diagrams.
Interpret P&ID, process flows, specifications, and other system documentation.
Ensure designs comply with industry standards (e.g., UL508A).
Maintain current knowledge of control panel design and drafting procedures.
Convert AutoCAD drawings to PDF.
Utilize Microsoft Office suite to import bill of materials and other documents into AutoCAD.
Develop and maintain a library of commonly used panel components.
Assist engineering in developing and enhancing company-wide standards.
Interface directly with internal resources, customers, and engineering firms.
Develop and modify drawings as directed by lead engineers or panel fabrication shop managers using various AutoCAD versions.
Provide regular and predictable attendance.
Requirements Regular and predictable attendance is essential for this position.
