Responsibilities Tax Preparation & Compliance
Prepare and review individual, S‑Corp, C‑Corp, partnership, and trust tax returns.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws.
Identify relevant deductions, credits, and tax strategies to minimize liabilities.
Assist with tax projections and estimated tax payments.
Research complex tax issues and stay current on changing regulations.
Client Advisory & Communication
Serve as a trusted tax advisor to clients.
Communicate proactively to gather information and address client questions.
Review financial statements and tax documents for accuracy and completeness.
Educate clients on tax‑saving opportunities and best practices.
Internal Growth & Firm Support
Collaborate with CPAs and senior accountants to streamline tax workflows.
Support tax planning initiatives for business owners.
Manage multiple deadlines efficiently, especially during tax season.
Utilize tax software and tools to improve accuracy and efficiency.
Additional Responsibilities
Assist with IRS and state tax notices, audits, and client correspondence.
Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to professional standards.
Contribute to process improvements and best‑practice development.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA/EA preferred or in progress.
Experience preparing and reviewing individual, business (S‑Corp, C‑Corp, Partnership), and trust tax returns.
Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations with the ability to research complex tax issues.
Proficiency with tax preparation software and accounting tools.
Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail in reviewing financial statements and tax documents.
Strong communication skills with the ability to advise clients and explain tax concepts clearly.
Ability to manage multiple deadlines, collaborate with team members, and support workflow improvements.
