Classification Title: University Auditorium Facility Assistant
Responsibilities
Unlocking and securing the facility for business operations and events
Attending to UF Performing Arts and UF School of Music equipment per training
Answering general inquiries and fielding phone calls from current and prospective clients
Assisting in preparation of the venue for events of varying scope
Attending to the integrity of venue security and providing access for students, clients and patrons as authorized
During events, answer patron questions, check belongings not permitted into the hall
Log lost and found items
Assist venue leadership with event setup and breakdown as needed
In the event of an emergency, rely upon training to assist in evacuation or respond as appropriate
Expected Salary $14.00 per hour
Minimum Requirements Candidates are employed on a part-time basis, up to 20 hours per week. Ability to speak and write English fluently, lift 30 pounds, work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a pleasant demeanor under adverse circumstances
Preferred Qualifications Prior customer service experience, Venue or Event Management experience
