They will serve as a primary custodian of our physical security capabilities with significant opportunities to develop baseline knowledge in business continuity and operational resilience. Must live within short commute of our Jersey City, NJ headquarters with the ability to respond to emergencies during off-hours. Operational control and maintenance of physical security programs including Site Security, Life Safety, and Travel Safety across our global footprint. Operate, maintain, and expand our CCTV and Access Control systems. Experience with Genetec’s Security Desk is a plus. Expand physical security systems to global offices through coordination with security integrators, sub-contractors, and office landlords. Leverage Threat Intelligence to identify, analyze, and report relevant local, industry, and global events to drive proactive security posture adjustments. Assist in refining threat intelligence programs with new sources, AI integration, distribution, and actioning. Support firm-wide incident responses to major events including natural disasters, hostile events, travel incidents, and business continuity activations. Monthly testing of the holistic security system (badge readers, cameras, intercoms, emergency call buttons) and on-request reporting for security incidents. Test emergency notification systems regularly and document results in after-action reviews with improvements implemented. Support Life Safety incidents, medical emergencies, and building evacuations; coordinate Life Safety training (CPR/AED, First Aid, etc.). Coordinate with Facilities to inventory and maintain Life Safety resources (First Aid Kits, AEDs, Fire Extinguishers) and maintain Life Safety certifications and rosters. Coordinate with outsourced providers of security services and manage relationships with security vendors and trainers. Work with Workplace Experience Team to adjust Physical Security controls during onboarding and separation of employees. Support onsite events, client meetings, and building events with Workplace Experience and Special Events teams. Assist with client and regulator due diligence inquiries related to Physical Security controls. Provide direct support to the Operational Resilience and Physical Risk Officer in maintaining the Firm’s business continuity capabilities (business impact analyses, exercises, and emergency notification system).

Qualifications

Must be located within a short commute to Jersey City, NJ and available to respond to emergencies during off-hours. Strong knowledge of physical risk and security domains including site security and life safety; five years or more in a similar role preferred. Experience with security systems, operations, and emergency response; certifications in physical security domains such as APP, CPP, PSP or equivalent preferred. Bachelor’s degree preferred; high school diploma/GED with extensive Physical Security or Law Enforcement experience considered. Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate with business leaders, clients, teams, and engineers. Team-oriented with the ability to work across multi-disciplinary teams and complete goals. Analytical and troubleshooting skills to monitor processes, identify gaps, and implement improvements.
