SUMMARY Responsible for applying accounting principles and procedures to analyze financial information, prepare accurate and timely financial reports and statements and ensure appropriate accounting control procedures.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Summarizes and analyzes financial information to assist financial statements including monthly and annual accounts.
Ensures financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures.
Ensures all financial reporting deliverables are completed timely.
Prepares financial management reports; ensures accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year end closes.
Establishes and monitors the implementation and maintenance of accounting control procedures.
Develops and maintains financial databases.
Assists financial audit schedules.
Prepares monthly journal entries.
Responsible for AR/AP follow up.
Perform all duties in accordance with all company policies and procedures, and all federal, state and local laws, wherein the Company operates.
Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance or combination of education and experience.
Four (4) or more years relevant experience.
SKILLS
Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Knowledge of the general industry procedures, standards, systems, resources, practices and terminology.
Knowledge of general office forms, processes and procedures.
Working knowledge of federal, state and local laws as well as industry regulations.
Knowledge of computer software applications, especially Microsoft Suite and MS Outlook software.
Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Suite, MS Outlook, Adobe Acrobat software preferred).
Skill in working effectively with inbound and outbound callers/customers.
Skill in maintaining effective working relationships with all customers, employees and the general public.
Ability to communicate effectively.
Ability to maintain a high level of organization and attention to detail while remaining flexible and responsive when faced with multiple urgent requests.
Ability to work independently, exercise independent judgment, make and execute decisions.
