Accountant I/II Employment Opportunities at the District Attorney's Office and Health and Human Services Agency
The County of Yolo is recruiting for two regular, full‑time positions in the Accountant I/II class: one at the District Attorney's Office and one at the Health and Human Services Agency (HHSA). The selected candidate's education, experience and qualifications will determine the level and corresponding salary.
Salary range
– Accountant I: $69,451.20 – $84,427.20 per year. Accountant II: $77,396 – $94,120 per year.
Successful candidates will also be placed on an eligible list for future countywide vacancies.
HHSA Accountant – Responsibilities • Monthly ledger reconciliations and corrections. • Submission of monthly or quarterly claims and reports. • Completion of cost allocations. • Data entry in the County’s ERP system. • Assisting with the Agency’s budget. • Acting as subject matter expert and representing the HHSA Fiscal team in meetings with County or external stakeholders.
Candidate Criteria – Qualifications
Professional level accounting experience.
Proficiency in Excel for large, complex data analysis.
Ability to research, interpret and apply regulations, policies and business processes.
