Overview
We’re looking for compassionate Registered Nurses (RNs) to join our Neuro team at Deaconess Illinois Medical Center. As part of our dedicated care team, you’ll provide safe, patient-centered care while working in a collaborative and supportive environment where your skills truly matter. A Registered Nurse (RN) working on a neuro unit (neuroscience or neurological unit) provides specialized care to patients with neurological conditions, such as brain, spine, and nerve disorders. The job responsibilities and duties for an RN in this setting are tailored to the specific needs of patients dealing with conditions like stroke, traumatic brain injury, epilepsy, spinal cord injury, neurodegenerative diseases (like Parkinson\'s or multiple sclerosis), and post-surgical recovery from neurological procedures. Overall, an RN on the neuro unit plays a critical role in providing specialized care, monitoring the condition of neurological patients, administering treatments, and supporting both patients and their families through often complex and challenging healthcare situations. Responsibilities
Responsibilities include providing specialized nursing care for neurology patients, monitoring neurological status, administering treatments, and supporting patients and families through complex healthcare situations. Required Certifications/Licenses
Active Registered Nurse (RN) Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) or Red Cross BLS certification required upon hire. Education
Graduate of an Accredited School of Professional Nursing Experience
At least one-year previous experience in clinical unit preferred. Compensation
Hourly Range - $31.25-$46.88 Incentives
Eligible for evening/night, weekend shift incentive based on company policies and applicable job codes. Additional details will be provided during the interview process. Bonus
Potential for a performance-based bonus, subject to eligibility criteria and achievement of defined metrics. Details regarding bonus eligibility and performance goals will be provided during the interview process or upon hire. Benefits
