RN Oncology Position Medical City Dallas is a leading 895+ bed tertiary care center with a focus on quality patient care. We seek a dedicated Registered Nurse for our Oncology department.

Job Summary And Qualifications As a Registered Nurse, you will deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in line with the department’s requirements and state/specialty standards. Collaborating with medical providers and the care team, you will provide personalized, comprehensive, and compassionate care, following nursing models such as “Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage.” You will act as an advocate for patients, families, and caregivers.

What You Will Do In This Role

Assess the patient's condition during admission and each shift, identifying and reporting changes in status.

Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered and ensure thorough documentation.

Administer prescribed medications, monitor therapeutic response, and take appropriate action for unintended responses.

Respond promptly to patient requests, proactively anticipate needs, and resolve issues.

Educate patients, families, and caregivers about medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, side effects, and follow-up measures.

Qualifications

Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification obtained within 6 months of employment start date.

Basic Cardiac Life Support certification.

Registered Nurse license.

Oncology Chemotherapy Biotherapy Certificate from ONS obtained within 60 days.

Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
