Essential Job Functions
Operates daily functions of the Solid Waste Facility, including landfill gas and leachate collection systems, light and heavy equipment, and surveying equipment for grade maintenance.
Documents inspections, cleaning, and maintenance of equipment. Records regulatory compliance data, maintenance logs, inspection forms, mileage/hr records.
Performs housekeeping, modifications, and maintenance of inactive areas of the landfill.
Conducts operation control tests, inspects incoming materials, and performs weighmaster duties at the truck scale.
Minimum Qualifications
High School diploma or GED.
Valid Ohio driver’s license with a safe driving record.
Drug screening required.
One year of experience operating and maintaining light and heavy equipment (preferred).
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Experience with equipment operations.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to build working relationships with coworkers, public officials, and the general public.
Proficient with computer hardware, software, and office equipment.
Capacity for physical labor, including outdoor work in all weather conditions.
Availability for emergency call‑out response at all hours, including weekends and holidays.

Pay:
Starting: $20.40 - $27.71 per hour
Additional Premium
Class A CDL: $3.50 per hour
