Production Supervisor – Carpenter Shop Wells invites you to apply for the Production Supervisor – Carpenter Shop role. This position schedules work across the plant while maintaining the current schedule that has been set.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

Oversees activity in the production plant.

Manages day-to-day production according to Production Control schedules.

Schedules times for crew and determines the number of crew members for production, patch, and finishing work.

Decides what needs to be produced and which pieces to work on in the production plant.

Avoids potential delays and defects in the production process.

Works with each department to channel through what needs to be done and how.

Oversees monthly inventories.

Handles purchase orders as needed.

Collaborates with engineering and drafting to overcome obstacles.

Works with engineering to create best practices.

Trains new employees.

Enforces policies and procedures by coaching or giving corrective action when needed.

Ensures compliance with policies and regulations.

Views, tracks, and adjusts manpower to maintain budgets.

Develops, implements, and maintains Lean Management practices.

Promotes safety to all employees.

Completes special projects as requested and performs other duties as assigned.

Education, Skills, And Abilities Required

High School Diploma

2 years of experience

PCI Level 1 & II

Experience with Microsoft Office

Interpersonal communication skills to interact with employees

Ability to supervise and facilitate others safely

Ability to train and coach other employees if necessary

General math skills

Ability to work with others to complete projects

Rapid problem-solving skills

Ability to supervise and control budgets

Knowledge of company products and which products would work best

Ability to follow instructions to know what needs to be produced and when

Ability to organize schedules, people, and equipment for maximum production

Understanding of the production process to coordinate schedules

Accepts changes that are implemented to become Best in Class

Physical Requirements / ADA Essential Functions

Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time

Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for typing, filing, and using office equipment

Visual acuity and ability to read small print

Hearing acuity and ability to communicate effectively with others

Ability to lift and move office supplies and equipment

Mobility and ability to move around the office as needed

General office environment with a moderate to high exposure to a production environment
