About the Position: Serve as Electronics Technician for the IMCOM Training, Mobility, and Security Airfield Division at US Army Garrison Fort Benning (formerly known as Fort Moore) where you will resolve equipment issues on navigational aids and other assigned equipment.

Duties

Maintain certification logs as required by regulation.

Read and draw electronic diagrams and schematics.

Perform maintenance on electronic navigational aids and landing systems.

Resolve critical equipment issues independently.

Requirements

Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.

Incumbent must be able to obtain valid certifications within 12 months of employment for air traffic control navigational aids, instrument landing, radar, and/or communications systems listed, IAW Army Regulation 95-2.

Employee may be required to fly in Army Aircraft during equipment evaluations.

This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination to ensure the required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position.

This position is subject to a pre-employment screening, and random drug testing thereafter, to include testing based on reasonable suspicion and testing due to direct involvement with an on-duty accident.

The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles.

This position requires shift work to provide coverage on evenings, weekends, holidays, or special situations.

This position has a requirement to lift up to 45 lbs. in the regular performance of duties.

This position requires the incumbent to be on-call.
