Senior Embedded Systems Design Engineer
Position: Senior Embedded Firmware/Software Engineer, part of the Boeing Responsive Space Capability team, located in Albuquerque, NM. The role focuses on designing, integrating, and testing advanced concepts for the Department of Defense.

Primary Responsibilities
Develop overall embedded systems architecture.
Support firmware and software research development projects.
Work in a team environment to develop specifications of firmware and software architectures.
Research required algorithms and implementation approach.
Design and validate implementation of all firmware components.
Integrate and synthesize firmware for the target platform.
Develop and maintain software code. Integrate software into a fully functional software system.
Troubleshoot basic firmware and software issues.
Develop test procedures and document test results to ensure embedded system requirements are met.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or equivalent.
3+ years of experience programming in C, C++, or C#.
Experience with product management and software development methodology.
Experience in software architecture and software development.
Preferred Qualifications
5+ years of experience working with FPGA embedded systems.
Experience with FPGA processor or memory interconnects.
Experience in embedded software development.
Hardware integration and software integration experience.
Experience using programming languages (VHDL, C++, Java, MATLAB).
Experience developing code for sensor acquisition and sensor processing.
Experience with electro-optical systems.
Prior experience as a project lead.
