We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer for our Fenton, MO location. This role will be responsible for analyzing, and overseeing the development and maintenance of mechanical systems, tooling, instruments, and components. This position will coordinate with all departments of the company to continue to improve processes and strengthen efficiency and quality through the creation and management of systems that integrate people, knowledge and materials. This role involves a practical, hands‑on component in addition to its technical and theoretical aspects.
Base Pay Range $80,000.00/yr - $85,000.00/yr
Key Duties/Responsibilities
Support the development and maintenance of production standards.
Conduct analysis to optimize product designs, ensuring efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Perform tests, analyze data, and make necessary modifications to ensure products meet quality and performance standards.
Create and implement solutions for mechanical problems, conducting research, and ensuring that systems and components meet performance and safety standards.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure the successful integration of mechanical systems within the overall production cycle.
Contribute to the continuous improvement and innovation of mechanical designs and processes.
Devise systems that will integrate workers, machines, and materials. Follow up on opportunities to improve performance and support company goals.
Comply with and prepare necessary paperwork consistent with company guidelines, industry and legal requirements and SOPs.
Required Skills/Abilities
Strong understanding of mechanical systems related to industrial equipment.
Experience with electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
Ability to quickly learn the equipment.
Proven track record of developing or improving processes to drive efficiency.
Strategic thinking.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Highly motivated, driven, and achievement oriented.
Effective time management and organizational skills.
Positive and collaborative attitude.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software as required to complete and maintain records.
25% travel required.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent years of related experience.
Excellent mechanical aptitude and knowledge of manufacturing processes required.
Proficiency in CAD and other engineering software.
Knowledge of Continuous Improvement Methodology tools preferred.
Experience with best practices and 5S a plus.
Excellent organizational skills.
Willing to work in a plant environment.
